Swaner Hardwood is a privately owned company that was founded in 1967.  We have a stable and loyal workforce, a large percentage of our employees having been with us 10 years or longer.  Outstanding customer service has always been the hallmark of our company.

    Today, in the 21st Century, Swaner Hardwood is a multi-million dollar company owning timberland in the Northwest and two subsidiary companies:  Mt. Baker Plywood and Goodyear Nelson Hardwood Lumber Company, both located in Bellingham, Washington.

    Our manufacturing and distribution center in Burbank, California, is ideally situated on the Interstate 5 corridor, which streamlines the process of transporting our products to the marketplace.

    Swaner Hardwood manufacturers custom hardwood flooring as well as custom mouldings.  Swaner also services the home improvement industry, cabinet and furniture manufacturers, moulding and architectural millwork companies, movie studios, state and federal institutions, and just about anyone who has a need for quality hardwood products. 

    Two of our high-profile customers are the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., both requiring fine-quality hardwood and on-time delivery.

    California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena, California, is another well-known customer, as are a number of entertainment and sports celebrities who reside in Southern California.

    All orders are monitored and shipped out of our central warehouse in Burbank, California.  This ensures that all your orders will be complete, on time, and quality-controlled.  We currently own and operate a fleet of 11 trucks and trailers, including four curtain vans, and because of our rapidly growing business, we continue to add trucks as needed.

    Lumber coming into our yard is examined on-site by one of our two certified National Hardwood Lumber Association inspectors.  This process assures that we receive the correct grade of lumber sold to us, and that we, in turn, provide you with the right product. 

    Swaner has been manufacturing fine-quality hardwood products for more than 35 years and has been a major supplier of S4S hardwoods since 1988.  We store more than 50 carloads of hardwood lumber in our Burbank, California facility.  In addition, we are backed by some of the finest hardwood lumber mills in the nation.
